Finchum Double Dips at Nashville
Tennessee's Chad Finchum enjoyed a great weekend in his home state. The Knoxville racer embarked on both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series events at Nashville Superspeedway (Lebanon, Tenn.) over the weekend.
Chad's weekend began with the Tennessee Lottery 250 on Saturday with him behind the wheel of the Ted Russell Ford of Knoxville No. 14 SS GreenLight Racing Ford Mustang. He qualified 35th on the grid and went on to finish 34th in the 188-lap affair.
Meanwhile, Sunday's action found Finchum piloting the MBM Motorsports No. 66 Cooper & Hunter USA / LandLoanTN.com. He started 38th on the gird before being sidelined 132 circuits into the Ally 400 with electrical issues.
"What a weekend it was in Nashville! It’s been a few years since I have raced a cup car and to be able not only to race one race but to pull double duty at one of my home tracks is awesome and it’s a memory that I will never forget," Finchum said. "Thanks to Cooper & Hunter USA / LandLoanTN.com and MBM Motorsports for making that possible as well as Ted Russell Ford Kingston Pike and SS GreenLight Racing. It was an awesome weekend and looking forward to announcing future races soon!"
