Chad Finchum Gets KO'd Early at Pocono
Long Pond, Pennsylvania (06/01/19) - Chad Finchum was eager to get back to Pocono Raceway on Saturday for the Pocono Green 250. While a lot of drivers aren't big fans of the track, known as the "Tricky Triangle," the pilot of the A-1 Finchum Heating & Cooling No. 42 MBM Motorsports/ Smithbilt Homes Toyota Supra enjoys racing there.
Unfortunately, Finchum's love for the track was thwarted early in the 100-lapper when contact from another driver knocked him from contention.
"Pocono is a tricky place but I was looking forward to getting back there this season," Finchum said. "We qualified 26th and picked up seven spots fairly quick in the race. Unfortunately, we got turned into the inside wall on lap-10 and that was all she wrote for us. It was definitely a tough and disappointing end to our day."
Following his lap-10 departure, Finchum was credited with a 37th-place finish in the final rundown.
