July 27, 2019 - Chad Finchum Fights More Mechanical Issues in Abbreviated Iowa Outing
1Newton, Iowa (07/27/19) - Chad Finchum's speed in the U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway was thwarted on Saturday afternoon by a broken brake caliper.

The part's failure forced his Heartland Tire & Auto Center/ Raceway TireNo. 42 MBM Motorsports/ DEEI/ Smithbuilt Toyota Supra out of the race on lap 113.

"It's a tough break and it's hard to smile in these situations," Finchum said. "We were 17th fastest in practice and qualified 22nd. We were up to the 19th position and fighting for the lucky dog award and then brake issues struck, sending us behind the wall. It's disappointing to have so much speed and not achieve the results that we knew we were capable of. July 20, 2019 - Chad Finchum's New Hampshire Hustle Slowed by Brake Issues
1Loudon, New Hampshire (07/21/19) - Chad Finchum's promising outing on Saturday afternoon in the Roxor 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in his Liquid I.V./ Smithbilt Homes No. 42 MBM Motorsports/ Cairn Consulting Amana Brand Heating & Air Conditioning Toyota Supra was derailed by brake issues during the race's mid stages.

"We hit the ground running by claiming the 22nd-starting spot via our qualifying effort. Then we were fast during the first stage, and ended it in the 20th position. Unfortunately, shortly after that the gremlins found us again, Finchum said. "The brake pedal just went to the floor, so we had to go behind the wall to the garage. We repaired the issue, but rejoined the field several laps down. It was another tough deal, but hey that's just how racing can go."

After rejoining the field in the 33rd position, Finchum managed to salvage a 30th-place finish.

July 12, 2019 - Fuel Issues Late Sideline Chad Finchum's Top-15 Run in Kentucky
1Sparta, Kentucky (07/12/19) - Running as high as the 15th position on Friday night at Kentucky Speedway Chad Finchum's saw his great run derailed late in the going by fuel issues in his Joe Huber's Family Farm & Restaurant No. 42 MBM Motorsports/ Smithbilt Homes/ Amana Brand Heating & Air Conditioning Toyota Supra.

"Our No. 42 Toyota Supra was pretty solid all day. We ran around 20th during the first two stages, but the car really came to life during the final stage," Finchum shared. "We got up to as high as the 15th position, but then we ran out of fuel and the car wouldn't refire. We ended up 28th, which was disappointing because we had so much potential for another great finish for this MBM Motorsports team.

"I do want to thank Joe Huber's Family Farm and Restaurant for coming on board to sponsor us for the event. It was an honor to carry Jo-Jo Huber's name on his car the entire weekend."

July 5, 2019 - "The Big One" Ends Chad Finchum's Top-10 Run at Daytona
1Daytona Beach, Florida (07/05/19) - There's only a few guarantees in life. The "Big One" at Daytona International Speedway is unfortunately one of them, and on Saturday night it ended Chad Finchum's chances at a Top-10 finish in his Smithbilt Homes No. 42 MBM Motorsports/ Amana Brand Heating & Air Conditioning Toyota Supra.

"We were up to ninth, and I think we easily had a shot at a Top-5 finish," Finchum recollected. "We were running the high line late in the race with our teammate and were rolling forward when the big one started in front of us. It's Daytona and it happens. There was just nowhere for us to go and we got collected.

"It was great to have some new partners on board for this event. I think we got them some great exposure. We'll now look ahead to putting another good run together at Kentucky."

July 2, 2019 - Chad Finchum Charges to 24th-Place Finish at Chicagoland
1Joliet, Illinois (06/29/19) - Chad Finchum trekked to the Land of Lincoln over the weekend, where he took his NLB Heating & Air No. 42 MBM Motorsports/ Ryan's Collision Service Toyota Supra into battle at Chicagoland Speedway.

Chad started 26th on the grid for the Camping World 300, but severe handling issues during the first stage pushed him as far back as the 35th position.

Despite the handling difficulties, the MBM Motorsports team dug deep to get the car tuned to Chad's liking.

He advanced to the 30th spot by the end of Stage 2, and during the final stage he initially raced to a 25th-place finish. However, with another driver being disqualified in post race, technical inspection, Finchum was advanced to a 24th-place finish. >>READ MORE
