July 28, 2018 - Chad Finchum's Iowa Outing Ends Early with Brake Fire
1Newton, Iowa (07/28/18) - While the temperatures may have been relatively cool on Saturday at Iowa Speedway, things got extremely hot for Chad Finchum during the U.S. Cellular 250.

The Tennessee racer saw his day come to an early end when a brake caliper broke off and brake fluid started spraying everywhere, which ignited.

"Very disappointing to say the least," Finchum said. "We had the brake issue on the left rear and it ultimately resulted in the car catching fire. Safety crews got there as fast as they could, but the fire quickly did a lot of damage, which ended our day. That's a bummer for sure, but I'm so excited to have this new car that we plan to take to Bristol. This car is really fast and I can't wait." >>READ MORE

July 21, 2018 - Chad Finchum Surges to 21st-Place Finish at New Hampshire
1Loudon, New Hampshire (07/213/18) - Chad Finchum continues to gain momentum in his rookie season with the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Over the weekend he invaded New Hampshire Motor Speedway (Loudon, New Hampshire), where he advanced to a 21st-place finish.

"It was true short track racing. We were fighting for position there late in the race on that last restart, and honestly it took our car 15-20 or so laps to get rolling. We just didn't have the time," Finchum noted. "I had a chance there to make a move in the closing laps to gain a few spots, but the car just didn't stick, and we shot up the track and lost a few spots. It will still a great outing for our team, and I really look forward to heading to Iowa next week." >>READ MORE

July 13, 2018 - Transmission Issues Halt Chad Finchum's Kentucky Charge
1Sparta, Kentucky (07/13/18) - Chad Finchum traveled to the Bluegrass State over the weekend to compete in the Alsco 300 at Kentucky Motor Speedway.

Finchum looked to be on his way to another solid performance before transmission issues struck late in the 200-lap event at the 1.5-mile oval.

"We qualified 35th, but we knew we had a good racecar," Finchum said. "We didn't work on any qualifying trim because we wanted to focus on our race package. I was able to move into the Top 30 and was fighting around 25th all night, but with about 40 laps to we started to lose the clutch. Ten laps later we lost the transmission. Even though we had bad luck equipment wise this team still has a lot of momentum, and I'm going to focus on taking it into New Hampshire next week." >>READ MORE

1Daytona Beach, Florida (07/06/18) - Chad Finchum had a stellar outing during the Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 on Friday evening at Daytona International Speedway.

The Tennessee racer contended for a win in the NASCAR Xfnity Series event at the famed 2.5-mile oval before ultimately recording a 14th-place finish.

"Man what a race. We had an absolute rocket ship. We raced into the Top 10 and then we raced into the Top 5, and honestly we were in a position to win the race there late," Finchum said. "With about 12 to go we were setup to wn the race, but then we got collected in a wreck that caused a tire rub and ultimately cut a tire down. We came to the pits, but still got a 14th-place finish, which was 11 spots better than our previous best finish. >>READ MORE
